Destana Herring is a Principal at Regeneration.VC, where he has been a key member of the founding team since joining in 2020. In this role, he has supported investment analysis and underwriting for all fifteen Fund I investments and the first investment of Fund II. He currently serves as a Board Observer for Meridia, an early-stage AgTech company providing essential data verification services under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

He also serves as a Nominator for the 2025 Earthshot Prize and manages Regeneration.VC’s deal flow and diligence processes. In addition, he leads a semi-annual graduate fellowship in collaboration with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Destana has been recognized as an emerging voice in ClimateTech investing and has spoken at events such as Grist, GreenBiz Circularity, VivaTech in Paris, Mashup in Malmö, and TechBBQ in Copenhagen.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University, where he focused on sustainability science and psychology. While at Harvard, he served on the board of an impact investing group, where he contributed to the development of a student-managed impact fund, conducted research on DEI in private capital, and explored nonprofit venture fund models.
