Hakima El Haite is an internationally recognized expert and advisor to the United Nations on climate and environmental policy. She is also the founder of EauGlobe, established in 1994 as the first environmental engineering firm in Africa and the Middle East.
From 2013 to 2017, she served as Minister Delegate for the Environment of Morocco. In 2015, she was elected Vice President of COP21 in Paris. Between 2015 and 2017, she acted as Special Envoy for Climate Change of the Kingdom of Morocco, and in 2016 she was appointed High-Level Climate Champion for COP22 in Marrakech.
Throughout her career, El Haite has been at the forefront of advancing sustainability, climate diplomacy, and green economy initiatives. She has been recognized among the “100 Most Influential People in Climate Policy” in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
