What is the focus and auspices of the panel?
The panel is organized in line with the United Nations General Assembly’s resolutions regarding the prevention of food loss and waste, the sustainable use of water, and zero waste initiatives. The event is directly related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

The panel will be held under the auspices of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, the esteemed wife of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, and organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye and the Zero Waste Foundation.

The High-Level Agriculture Ministers Panel will be held at Swissôtel The Bosphorus Istanbul. The hotel is located on the European side of the city in a central area, approximately 42 km from Istanbul Airport and about 45 km from Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Where exactly will the Panel be held?
The Panel will take place at Swissôtel The Bosphorus Istanbul, located on the European side of Istanbul.

In which languages will interpretation services be provided?
Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Turkish, English, French, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish during the Panel.

Will meals be provided for participants?
Yes, complimentary lunch will be provided to all registered participants by the Panel Secretariat. In addition, beverages and light refreshments will be offered throughout the event.

Will internet access (Wi-Fi) be available at the venue?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi service will be available throughout Swissôtel The Bosphorus, including all meeting rooms.

Is medical assistance available at the venue in case of emergencies?
Yes, basic first aid and medical support services will be available on-site. Additionally, an ambulance will be stationed at the venue throughout the Panel for emergency interventions if needed.

Will the Panel follow a “paper-smart” (paperless) principle?
Yes, in line with zero-waste and paperless event principles, all Panel documents and materials will be provided online. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

What are the languages of the Panel? Will interpretation be provided?
The Panel will be conducted in Turkish, English, French, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

What topics will the Panel focus on?
The Panel will primarily focus on Preventing Food and Water Waste – Securing Our Future. The event is closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

Is registration mandatory and what are the entry requirements for the venue?
Yes, only registered participants will be allowed to attend the meeting. On-site registration will not be available. Participants must have completed their registration in advance in order to receive their badges.

How can an invitation letter/facilitation letter for visa purposes be requested?
Participants applying through diplomatic missions are advised to submit their Invitation Letters along with their visa applications. Those who require a visa facilitation letter may send their requests to the Secretariat via email by 10 November 2025.

What are the basic security and entry requirements at the venue?Wearing Forum badges at all times inside the venue is mandatory. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive early and collect their badges before the sessions begin to avoid long queues.

Is there on-site accreditation/registration, and when does it start?
No new on-site registrations will be available for the Panel. Only participants who have completed their registration in advance may come to the accreditation/badge desk at Swissôtel The Bosphorus on the day of the Panel to collect their badges.All participants are advised to arrive early so they can collect their badges before the sessions begin.

What do I need to bring to collect my badge?
To receive your badge, you must present:A valid passport (or an official ID card for Turkish citizens),The same identification document you declared during registration.After the identity verification, your badge will be issued and you will be able to enter the Panel area.
