An Inclusive Communication Move for All Segments of Society
The “Have You Noticed?” campaign was designed with a broad strategy to cover all layers of society. The campaign aims to make visible the environmental negativities that often go unnoticed in daily life. For example, habits such as taps left on unnecessarily, intensive consumption of disposable products, unconscious energy use and neglect of recycling are addressed in this context.
Main Theme of the Campaign: Behavioral Transformation
The campaign is not only an information process, but also a collective movement to encourage behavioral change. With the message “Notice Today, Act for Tomorrow”, everyone is expected to review their lifestyle, reduce waste production and minimize their environmental footprint.
The objectives of the campaign are summarized under the following headings:
• Emphasize the economic and ecological impacts of waste.
• Increasing awareness of saving energy, water and resource use.
• Guiding organizations and individuals towards more responsible consumption habits.
• Integrating zero waste culture into daily life.
Raising Awareness through Visual Studies
It is planned to raise public awareness with remarkable graphics and messages on billboards, bus stops, public institutions and digital platforms across Türkiye. The visuals reveal the unconscious spending in critical areas such as textiles, food, packaging, energy and water waste and their impact on nature with striking data.
Practical Awareness through Trainings and Workshops
Within the scope of the campaign, trainings and workshops will be organized for various age groups and social segments. The content specially designed for primary school students covers topics such as recycling, composting, energy saving, waste sorting and environmentally friendly consumption. In addition, practical information on the recycling of household waste, reuse of textiles and zero waste practice is provided in workshops set up at fairs open to the public.
Take Action with “Have You Noticed?” Video Series
A series of short videos was prepared for the digital leg of the campaign. The videos use simple but effective messages to explain the types of waste in daily life without even realizing it. Broadcast on TV, radio, social media and YouTube, the content encourages viewers to think and take action on waste.
Practical Awareness through Exhibitions and Public Space Activities
As part of the campaign, environment-themed photo exhibitions are organized at airports and fairgrounds in major cities. In addition, in interactive experience areas, visitors gain awareness in practical areas where they can directly face environmental impacts. In these areas, it is aimed to raise awareness with applications such as carbon and water footprint calculation and waste sorting simulations.
Goal: Social Transformation
The “Have You Noticed?” campaign will not be limited to the week of June 5th. The Zero Waste Foundation aims to transform the campaign into a sustainable social movement with awareness raising activities and educational projects on different themes throughout the year. In today's world, where the effects of the global climate crisis are felt more and more every day, the Zero Waste Foundation invites everyone to participate in this common responsibility.
“Have You Noticed?” is a call, an awakening and a common step towards a cleaner world together.
Notice, think, act for a more livable future. Everything starts with noticing.
