A key highlight of his tenure has been the innovative conversion of city waste into compressed natural gas (CNG), powering over 100 garbage vehicles and 400 public buses, thereby reducing the city’s carbon footprint and promoting clean energy use. This circular economy approach has benefited more than 200,000 daily commuters and set new standards in waste-to-energy solutions.
Mr. Bhargav also initiated citizen-centric programs like the "Internship with Mayor" to engage youth in governance and environmental stewardship. His administration has introduced women-centric and health-focused services, alongside digital innovations like the integration of India Post’s Digi Pin system, facilitating doorstep access to civic services.
Internationally recognized, he has showcased Indore’s exemplary waste management and citizen engagement models at forums such as COP-28, the BRICS+ Forum, and the National Urban Forum in Moscow, reinforcing his commitment to sustainable urban development.
