Born in Kastamonu in 1969, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration at Uludağ University in 1992.
In 1993, he began his professional career as an import operations specialist at Marshall Boya A.Ş. Until 2011, he held managerial positions in the financial departments of Marshall Boya A.Ş. and affiliated group companies under Akzo Nobel Türkiye. In 2011, he joined Aljazeera Türkiye, and between 2012 and 2015, he managed the TV channel owned by Aljazeera Türkiye. From January to October 2016, he served as Director of International Operations at Anadolu Agency. Since October 2016, he worked at GÜBRETAŞ as General Manager and Executive Board Member.
On April 7, 2022, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
On June 3, 2023, with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
Fluent in English, Mr. Yumaklı is married and has two children.
